After deciding on our chosen genre, we had to compose a questionnaire in order to generate audience feedback. Our title sequence would then be influenced by the feedback we received.
As we chose to set our film in the 1980's, we decided it would be best to target our questionnaire at a wide range of ages - from the younger generation, through to adults who may have had real life experience of the time period we wanted to convey.
The questionnaire was composed of the following questions:
1. What do you think would be a typical stereotype or convention of the 1980's?
2. What type of costumes would you expect to see in the 1980's?
3. Why would you go and see an 80's film?
4. Do you have a favourite 80's film?
5. What types of storylines would you expect to see in a 1980's film?
6. What locations would you expect to see from a 1980's film?
7. What impressed you about "This Is England"?
8. What type of characters would you expect to see in a 1980's film?
9. What age group do you think a period film mainly targets?
10. What would you like to see in a film about the 1980's?
